We’re Collecting Cleaning Supplies to Help Families in The Grove Community

Blog, News

Help us help others at Consociate Media by donating to the “Trotter Box” we’ve adopted on behalf of Grove Christian Outreach Center.

The nonprofit helps families living in the Grove community in Williamsburg who are in need of  food, clothing and other types of assistance. Its Adopt a Trotter Box program encourages local businesses to give by identifying different donation themes – everything from personal hygiene to school supplies to breakfast foods to peanut butter and jelly.

As a business, you decide which of the 20 boxes you want to adopt and Grove Christian makes it easy. Community Engagement Coordinator Lisa Falzone delivers the decorated box to your business and picks it up on dates that work best for you. Each box has a suggested list of items that are needed.

Consociate adopted the Mr. Clean Trotter Box, and we’re collecting supplies that include Ziplock bags, Clorox wipes, Spic & Span, hand soap, paper towels, corn brooms, dish detergent and Lysol spray. Next time you’re out grocery shopping, pick up a few extra rolls of towels or spend a little more in the cleaning aisle and drop your donation by our offices at Consociate Media, located in The Shops at Tidemill, 2072 George Washington Memorial Highway in Gloucester Point. We’ll be collecting donations for our Mr. Clean Trotter Box through the end of September 2023.

Everything donated supports deserving families. The Outreach Center’s free food pantry is open to all residents in Grove for weekly visits at the following times: Mondays 11 am-2pm, Tuesdays 1-6pm and Fridays 9am-1pm.

If you’re interested in adopting your own Trotter Box, contact Lisa at 757-887-1100 or email her at lisa@groveoutreach.com. For more information on Grove Christian Outreach Center, visit this link.

Thank you in advance to all in our community who help make a difference for others.
