Consociate Media has named Amanda Shortt as its newest Partner.
Shortt has been an Operations Director at the Gloucester-based media, marketing and management firm since August 2020.
“I am thrilled. I just love Consociate Media,” Shortt said. “It’s so important to me to be part of an organization with a team of people who are so talented and care deeply about what they do and who they do it for. It’s an organization that has heart, that’s deeply ingrained in the community and wants everyone in it to be successful.”
Shortt has a hand in overseeing Çonsociate Media’s expanding national client list that includes nonprofits, municipalities and small businesses. The company also has a philanthropic component in serving many of the businesses it supports, an element that appeals to Shortt, who is a passionate about giving back to her community.
“Amanda’s heart for service – service to Consociate Media’s team members, service to clients and service to community – is inspiring to all who get the privilege of working alongside her,” said Stephanie Heinatz, Founder and Managing Partner. “For her to take ownership of this special business we have been growing together for so many years already is a dream come true for me.”
Shortt is a volunteer for Isle of Wight Humane Society and St. Luke’s Methodist Church and was recently named to NPR’s Emerging Leaders Board. She has also been instrumental in Habitat for Humanity’s House That Small Business Built, a fundraiser Consociate Media spearheaded on behalf of the local affiliate of the international nonprofit. Consociate Media donated the initial $10,000 to support the Habitat house that is being funded through multiple small businesses. The Charles City home will be officially purchased by a widowed father of six on Dec. 12, 2023.
Shortt graduated from Christopher Newport University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management. Prior to joining Consociate, she worked as Corporate Secretary and HR Manager at the Williamsburg Winery and was an Associate Partner with Virginia Ventures, LLC.
“I’m excited to be able to have a greater voice in the future direction of Consociate,” she said. “I’ve poured so much of my heart to myself into this company and feel so at home here. It’s nice to make it official.”
